Almost everyone in China owns a bicycle, but what if you get a puncture while riding? You can hire someone to patch it, or you can do it yourself. It's quite easy, just requires some tools. Those interested can give it a try.
First, inflate the bicycle tire fully. Then, turn the bicycle upside down and place the seat on the ground.
Unscrew the valve stem. Use a flathead screwdriver to pry open the outer tire and pull the inner tube out.
Prepare a basin of tap water. Press the inner tube into the water and locate the leak. Bubbles in the water indicate a small hole.
Use a file to smooth the area around the hole, creating a small circle the size of the inner tube patch. It's okay if it's a little smaller, but don't exceed the patch's size.
Apply tire repair glue to the hole and let it dry to allow the benzene in the glue to evaporate.
Remove the plastic wrap from the back of the inner tube patch, or find a similar inner tube and cut a piece the same size as the one you just ground.
Smoothly attach the inner tube patch to the glued inner tube.
Press firmly and let it sit for a while until the glue is completely dry.
Place the patched area back into a basin of tap water to check for leaks. If no bubbles appear, the patch is successful.
Check the rest of the inner tube to ensure there are no other leaks, then put the inner tube back into the outer tire. Reinstall the outer tire.
Finally, turn the bicycle upside down and inflate the inner tube. The bicycle inner tube is now patched.
